ABOUT MARLA

I'm Marla, Webmaster of Marla's House and The Nursery. I also have a blog I update from time to time with patterns and other happenings. I live just outside of Paducah, KY with my husband Scott and 4 cats. I grew up in Paducah but moved to a neighboring county when Scott and I married in June 2005.

I thoroughly enjoy yarn crafts and have been crocheting since I was about five or so, and have recently taught myself to knit and loom knit. I also work for the largest retailer in the world which, while I enjoy it, leaves less time than I'd like for crochet, Wii and other leisure activities.

I have a small family- my parents in Paducah, my 90 year old paternal grandmother who taught me to crochet as a child, and my mother in law and sisterin law (both of whom live next door). Between them and my husband, there's always something going on.

Besides crochet and knitting, my interests include photography, Wii games, computers/web design and Country Music, especially Reba McEntire.
